This is a great resource to use when you need ideas for differentiating instruction.  This is based off the idea that you need to have different methods so that all students can find one way to learn.  Every student deserves the chance to learn.  In the classroom, this would be great to look at when ideas are needed for different methods.  Also, this is great when parents at home need ideas/help not only for the students, but also for themselves.

This PDF contains helpful tips when it comes to parents helping students with math homework.  This gives parents a bit of encouragement and some steps to move forward in the math processes. 

The end of this PDF contains a book list which would be very helpful in the classroom.  The tips would also be helpful show parents when they feel they cannot help their children with math homework.

Student Resource - Short 5 Problem Games

This site is full of about 12 small games to help students practice specific math skills.  These games each relate to some objective in which may be the same that the students are learning in class.  These games are very short consisting of about 5 math problems each.  It might be a good idea for a "homework" idea to help students think about math without worksheets.

The FOIL Method for Fourth Grade Math : Elementary School Math (YouTube)

This is a great video to teach the FOIL method to upper elementary students.  This teacher may work a little fast, but if I were showing this directly to the students it may be after I have introduced the subject and began teaching.  This may help when students begin to understand but do not fully understand or need it put a different way. 

What's the Point of Geometry? -Euclid (YouTube)

This particular video is not the only of its kind, rather a beginning.  There is an entire series on YouTube by this same author which continues on a back to back method which may be nice for a series of geometry lessons depending on the speed and timing available or needed.

Geometry Wordle

This could be used as the engage portion of a lesson on geometry.  One specific way could be that this wordle can be used would be to post it using the projector to have the students discuss what they see that these words have in common.  They would also try to draw as many of these words as they can.  It would be an engaging start of a lesson.
